Miu Miu has unveiled its contribution to the latest wave of fashion films, with ‘The Miu Miu Women’s Tales,’ a new series of short films made by female directors.

Of course, this isn’t the first viral we’ve seen from a fashion brand recently – Chanel, of course, put out a Karl Lagerfield-directed short, ‘Widow World,’ Dior shot ‘Lady Grey London’ with Marion Cottillard and Oliver People collaborated with Devendra Banhart and Lisa Eisner to produce their own offering, but it’s certainly worth a watch.

The first film, ‘The Power Room’ has launched the series, and stars models Pearl Marsland, Audrey Marnay, Line Ghost, Caroline de Maigret and Sophie Vlaming.

Directed by Zoe Cassavetes (best known for 2007’s “Broken English”), it’s everything a girl could want in a film by a fashion brand – sumptous, beautiful, brimming with gorgeous clothes and top models, and shot in – where else? – Claridge’s.

In it, Cassavetes explores powder room etiquette and uses the private elegance of women’s ultimate sanctuary to reflect the elegance and luxury around the brand. In short, she says it’s a film about “women and their private moments.”

I love the nonchalant tone and the almost dream-like storyline. And of course Audrey Marnay looks beautiful and doe eyed, as per.

Each of the films in the series are to be launched on the Miu Miu website, and there are heaps of behind the scenes clips, so watch that space.
